Maceo Plex announces new album ‘Journey To Solar’: preview the entire new album

Maceo Plex announced what was to be his sophomore full-length Solar back in the summer of 2015. In a surprise twist, the house and techno legend has recently revealed a precursor album, Journey To Solar, to be released before Solar drops in early 2017.

The seven-track double vinyl record is to said to be more club-friendly than the “broken beat electro/electronica” that is expected from Solar. However, both albums were written concurrently, providing an intriguing glimpse into the diverse production abilities Maceo Plex possesses.

Journey To Solar is set to be released November 18 on Maceo Plex’s Ellum label. Previews of the LP’s seven tracks are available below.
