Technics’ new SL-1200G turntable is now available

Much to the delight of vinyl-loving turntablists everywhere, earlier this year Panasonic made the announcement it would be bringing back it’s Technics SL-1200 turntable series. Technics CTO, Tetsuya Itani, says the new SL-1200 model been redesigned from scratch to be sturdier than the original, which is why the price has been reported at a steep $4,000.

While there has been talk of possibly releasing a less expensive version in the near future, early-adopters will need to shell out the dough for this one. A list of retailers carrying the new SL-1200 model can be accessed via the Technics website here.
