DA Premiere: Moby – Wait For Me (Adriatique Remix)

In celebration of Moby’s newly-released LP These Systems Are Failing, a variety of acts within the dance world have taken on his most famous releases. The first batch of remixes came in the form of scintillating techno from Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. Now, Solomun’s Diynamic crew have added themselves into the fray with a remix EP of their own.

Adriatique delivers the lead remix on the EP, targeting Moby’s 2009 classic “Wait For Me” as their song of choice. The pair have chosen not to venture too far out of the confines of the original version, emphasizing the song’s subtle breakbeat rhythms while giving the track’s haunting vocals and instrumental hook a revamped, slightly more energized feel. In doing so, Adriatique demonstrate just how far their mastery over production goes, excelling in everything from cosmic house and techno to left-field electronica such as this.

Adriatique’s remix of “Wait For Me,” along with the rest of Diynamic’s new remix EP of Moby, will be available on digital outlets on December 2.
