DA Premiere: SHADED – Yoyoyo (Original Mix)
SHADED has set himself apart from others in the underground dance scene by adopting a staunchly “live only” approach to his performances and in weaving together multilayered, hardware-heavy productions for each release. The California-born producer returned to Dubfire’s SCI+TEC imprint for his latest EP, Yoyoyo — his first appearance on the label since 2015.
The three-tracker’s eponymous opener kicks things off on a futuristic note, fusing together titillating background noises with chunky synth accents and crisp percussion. A groovy bassline and atmospheric topline add texture to the clip, making it ideal for dropping at peak time during a set.
SHADED recently concluded a monumental tour around Asia, where he documented his experiences in a unique tour diary.
