Icon Spotlight: October

Icon Collective has solidified its reputation as the premier educational facility for electronic music production on the West Coast. The North Hollywood arts school has become a breeding ground for the next generation of talent, as evidenced by its formidable track record, which includes the likes of Jauz, MAKJ, Slander, SNBRN and more.

To spotlight some of the amazing talent coming out of the school, we’ve teamed up with Icon for a new series highlighting tracks from the past month from both current students and Icon graduates.

October proved another standout month for the Icon community. Heavyweight graduates like Jauz, Slander, Kayzo and SNBRN dished out new material, while some of Icon’s most promising new artists proffered their creations to the world.

One such artist is FLORALS, whose intriguing brand of future-tinged music culminated with new original “Waves.” Crossover duo TELYKast brought their delicate touch to XYLO’s “Dead End” while Elephunk dabbled in techno on “Regret.”

On the hip hop tip, newcomer Ryden launched her project with her politically charged single “Dear God,” following up this week with “Ready.” Lastly, RNSM dropped an official remix of Jayceeoh’s “Elevate,” offering a festival-primed trap rendition.
