Kanye West is ‘still not stable’; remains hospitalized indefinitely

Last Monday, November 21, Kanye West was committed to UCLA Medical Center, following a series of bizarre outbursts and the cancelation of his remaining Saint Pablo tour dates. The day after his hospitalization, it came to light that West’s physician called in a 5150, or involuntary psychiatric hold, after the artist allegedly assaulted a gym staff member. West’s doctor reported that the rapper suffered from “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.”

West was reportedly scheduled to be released from the hospital today, November 28 — over double the length of the 72-hour minimum mandated for a 5150. However, TMZ has reported that West remains in the hospital, and is “still not stable”. The outlet goes on to note that West has been suffering from extreme paranoia, to the point where he would not allow the doctors to touch him for a period of time.

At press time, UCLA Medical Center has not set a new release date for West.
