RL Grime plans to release a new album in 2017
At the tail end of 2014, RL Grime released his groundbreaking debut album, Void. In the time since, fans have been hungering for any news on a sophomore followup, though thus far details have been scarce.
In a recent interview with Triple J, however, the LA-based producer finally revealed some information about the rumored next album, mentioning: “I’m working on an album right now that will likely be out next year, and then likely touring off that.”
It’s exciting news for fans, especially considering the wide-sweeping influence of Void, which proceeded to reshape the trap landscape of the past two years. The album announcement follows a particularly hyped Halloween 2016 Mix from RL Grime, as well as his highly-anticipated collaboration with Skrillex and What So Not, “Waiting.”
