RL Grime, What So Not and Skrillex share ‘Waiting’ teaser ahead of release this week

In September, What So Not announced that his second RL Grime collaboration had been completed — lofty news which was made all the more exciting when Skrillex‘s involvement in the single was revealed. While the track, entitled “Waiting,” has been highly present throughout the producers’ sets since this announcement, anticipation for its release steepened exponentially when RL Grime selected it as the closing song for his widely-circulated Halloween mix last week.

On October 28, the day after the airing of RL Grime’s viral set, news broke that “Waiting” will be released Thursday, November 3. While this date is imminent, the magnitude of the song’s creative triad understandably makes it quite difficult for fans to remain patient for the release. Luckily for the artists’ most insatiable fans, the song is now available to stream in full… in a way.

In a clever viral marketing tactic, RL Grime and What So Not have uploaded a promotional video to announce the song’s release which parodies campy late-night chat line ads. The video, which low quality footage of ’80s era vixens alongside statements such as “Are you fed up? Call Now,” teases the song while flashing a phone number across the bottom of the screen: 1-855-464-7348.

Any fans who cannot wait any longer for the momentous collaboration can hear it in full by calling the above number, albeit with the sound quality of any corporate phone number’s hold music.

For the rest of us, the song will be officially released in two days.
