deadmau5 just earned a BBC Radio 1 residency for 2017

Wary of getting out-competed by Apple Music‘s Beats 1 Radio, which has been pulling in influential artists left and right, BBC has announced a new group of artists to grace the airwaves in 2017 via the BBC Radio 1 Residency radio show, including none other than deadmau5.

The Residency show features a rotating lineup of “the biggest names in dance music from the underground to the arena,” who take turns mixing for a few hours on Thursday nights playing whatever music they fancy. The 2016 roster included the likes of George Fitzgerald, Louisahhh, Oliver Heldens, and Steve Angello.

Also on the 2017 roster are fellow new members to the team Metrik, Eats Everything, Jessy Lanza, and Helena Hauff, who join veterans of the show Kölsch, Logan Sama, and Will Atkinson.
