deadmau5 drops new hip hop track ‘Legendary’
Deadmau5’s penchant for hip hop recently resulted in his Shotty Horroh collaboration “Okay,” a slick hip hop track combining vintage string samples with Zimmerman’s classy sound design. Now deadmau5 is continuing down that path, officially unveiling another new collaboration with the Manchester-based rapper.
The pair’s new piece is titled “Legendary,” a quick hip hop number with a dark instrumental and heavy grime appeal. The two-minute arrangement is dominated by a growling bassline from Zimmerman and two savvy verses from Shotty Horroh.
Deadmau5 has previously expressed his admiration for working with Horroh, writing on Twitter: “I should just produce a whole album for Shotty Horroh… dudes so easy to work with.”
What’s more, it appears “Legendary” may be the first of two new tracks from the pair:
