That’s right: the internet has gifted us with a spliced-up rendition of the Chainsmokers and Halsey’s inescapable hit “Closer” by none other than Donald Trump, and truth be told, it may be the best “remix” we’ve heard yet.
Someone clipped together bits and pieces of Trump footage and audio over the years to reveal a hidden rendition of “Closer” that seems to have been right under our noses all along. It is, to some degree, amazing. The Chainsmoker’s original “Closer” rode a mix of meme popularity and heavy radio appeal to the top of the charts this year for nearly 12 weeks, only to be recently dethroned by another meme-ified tune from Rae Sremmurd.
