Diplo & Autoerotique didn’t ‘Waist Time’ in starting off 2017 with new music
Diplo and Autoerotique combined their hitmaking sensibilities into “Waist Time,” kicking off their year in the most “turned up” fashion. Their collaboration commences by immediately assaulting the ear drums with pungent, wompy synthesizers and tech-house inspired kicks, building up excitement with the help of Jamaican vocal samples before dropping into a cacophony of ecstatic sonic layers. The combination of both the Caribbean flavors often heard in Diplo’s tracks and the intense electro & future house stylings of his Canadian counterpart turned out to be highly successful, with “Waist Time” naturally expected work any dancefloor it touches in the coming year.
Thus far, the year is looking bountiful for both acts involved in this slammer of a track. “Waist Time” will be Autoerotique’s first signed record onto the prolific Mad Decent imprint, while Diplo recently announced his partnership with Bacardi under the Major Lazer moniker along with Walshy and Jillionaire.
