Governors Ball announces 2017 lineup; Tool, Chance the Rapper, Flume and Marshmello
Year after year, New York’s Governors Ball has played host to some of the music industry’s most notable artists. The finely-curated festival has hosted marquee names like Kanye West, Drake, Outkast, Skrillex and Deadmau5, alongside hundreds of other artists, both established and emerging.
This year’s lineup continues the festival’s pristine pedigree with an eclectic selection of talent. Although set times have yet to be released, it’s likely that the festival will be headlined by Tool, Chance the Rapper, and Phoenix — a less star-studded (its hard to out-star Beyonce), but more finely curated version of the festival’s West Coast counterpart, Coachella.
Lorde, Wu-Tang Clan and Wiz Khalifa will also be in attendance bu the choices are a bit sparse for electronic fans. Flume and Marshmello are the only two high-profile producers listed on this Phase 1 release.
