Bassnectar details numerous upcoming releases and events to fans
Bassheads, rejoice. In an extensive post on his blog, Bassnectar has revealed imminent plans for new music, philanthropic endeavors, and a host of branded events in the works for the coming year. Alongside a slew of festival performances, producer Lorin Ashton discussed upcoming releases on OWSLA, Spinnin‘, and Monstercat among others.
Ashton also gave updates on his upcoming Atlantic City event which sold out in short order, informing fans the modular venue will be physically re-arranged to accommodate more partygoers. In true Bassnectar fashion, he reminded his fans to cherish their health at any gathering and promised to have even more well trained staff, onsite safe spaces, and free water at his events to help guests party safely. As for what he’s still got up his sleeve, the California based DJ dropped a few hints:
“Speaking of magic, festival season is right around the corner, and we have a road map of excellent adventures in store for you, some of which are springtime events, and many of which are not yet announced. Since we moved our “family gathering” concept out of Atlanta and over to Atlantic City for 2017, expect something RIDICULOUSLY SPECIAL for ATL toward the end of the year…
…and as for all you fortunetellers trying to predict when the next Bass Center will be, let’s just say it will be spread across 3 days, on one of the largest 3-day holiday weekends of the year…”
Ashton rounded out his “State of the Bass” address by promising a new round of ‘$/BH’ or Dollar per Bass Head–a tradition in which a portion of his annual show proceeds are rerouted to support fans whose philanthropic projects benefit others. As always, the beneficiaries will be decided by bassheads via poll in the coming months.
