Carl Cox shares details on new Pure nights in Ibiza

Carl Cox isn’t done with Ibiza just yet. From the end of his famed Space residency springs his brand new Pure party, which strips things down to the bare basics and offers “unadulterated techno and house” to hardcore fans. The British dance music legend has underlined just how serious he plans to get during these nights, which will be held at Privilege club twice during the coming season: “If you’re not into it, I would just say ‘don’t come down, don’t bother.’”

Pure began in Australia, where Cox put together its namesake festival for the very first time in 2016. The event brought a powerful set artists to its confines, including Joseph Capriati and Format:B. After two successful parties in Melbourne and Sydney, the gathering will return this year and potentially expand to a third show.

According to his latest interview with Mixmag, the iconic DJ had never planned to leave the island, but rather find a brand new “spiritual home” where he could keep his musical vision, and original ethos of the island alive. Cox’s plans for the night are as big as the club’s dance-floor, which he intends to fill to the brim with those who enjoy supporting the scene and who plan on moving until the last beat leaves the speakers.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back to Ibiza and kicking off these special events with my awesome team from Space: Dave Browning, Eóin Smyth and the Game Over crew. And boy, have we got some parties lined up for you this year,” Cox says.

We trust that this is the beginning of a prosperous new era.
