Dancing Astronaut presents AXIS 189: Mixed by /’lo͞osid/
A mysterious project under the moniker /ˈlo͞osid/ sprouted onto the SoundCloud scene two years ago with an eclectic stream of bass-driven remixes and originals. Boasting official remix duties for Galantis and The Chainsmokers, the enigmatic producer has found home at Canada’s Monstercat to release two of the project’s latest originals, “Clouds” and “Talisman,” and can be caught live this year at major festivals like Mysteryland and Something Wonderful.
With a rapidly growing 2017 touring schedule, fans are in luck as /ˈlo͞osid/ is the latest artist to take over the Dancing Astronaut AXIS series for an hour-long set to shed some light on what to expect when he or she takes the decks at various festival and club appearances this year. Opening with an ethereal, extended intro of his/her remix of San Holo’s “Light,” /ˈlo͞osid/ seamlessly shifts from genre to genre throughout the mix to create a mosaic of both bass-heavy and chilled out genres that many will find refreshing.
