Listen to Madsonik’s bass-heavy take on Rae Sremmurd’s ‘Black Beatles’
Rae Sremmurd are as good at finding talent as they are at making chart-topping hits. The young duo put their trust in the up-and-coming Madsonik to rework their legendary record, “Black Beatles,” and he delivered in spades. Traveling down the route of avant-garde bass, Madsonik cleverly edits the memorable hook into an intriguing mixture of drum ‘n’ bass-inspired rhythms and tense, brooding strings laced with heavy bass hums.
While the original “Black Beatles” carries an irresistible groove fit for any climate, Madsonik’s rendition certainly takes it down a darker path, providing an unexpectedly introspective listening experience that serves well in its role as the Battlefield 1 commercial background song.
Madsonik’s “Black Beatles” remix is now available through Rae Sremmurd’s own EarDrummer Records as well as Interscope.
