When Ushuaïa and the Matutes group took control back over Space Ibiza from Pepe Rosello, they did so with grandiose plans in mind for the venue. Thus, Hï was created as the club to take its place as a new luxury club catering toward an exclusive, hierarchical club crowd akin to those in Las Vegas and Miami.

One of the first residents announced for the Hï has been revealed as Martin Garrix, the EDM wunderkind who helped pioneer big room and who’s had a history with the brand before as a resident for their Ushuaïa location in Ibiza. Given his amount of fame in the commercial scene and the high demand for him live, a residency by Garrix at Hï’s opening season clearly communicates its message of exclusivity.
