Sonar announces artist line up for its first-ever Hong Kong edition
Barcelona’s leading technological and arts festival Sonar created quite a stir on the internet when it announced its plan to expand to the Far East, with Hong Kong being the first destination in mind.
The International Festival of Advanced Music, Creativity and Technology will aim to offer “a unique opportunity for festivalgoers to experience the entire lifecycle of the creative process in an accessible way.”
Being a multidisciplinary commemoration of creativity, Sonar has announced the lineup for its dance music event. This groundbreaking festival will not only see its fair share of performances, but also a series of creative activities including workshops, talks and an expo, plus interactive virtual reality and new media arts installations.
Featuring huge names like ‘the baron of Techno,’ Dave Clarke, underground innovator, DJ Shadow, frontman of British band Blur and creative mastermind behind Gorrilaz, Damon Albarn; the festival ensures to offer an unforgettable mix of dance music, technology and creativity.
Sonar will be held on April 1 at Hong Kong Science Park.
