OWSLA is setting up a pop-up shop in NYC
OWSLA is no longer just “Skrillex’s label.” The LA-based imprint has flourished into a vibrant artist collective that represents a number of different creators across a wide variety of artistic mediums. Over the last year, OWSLA’s simple online storefront became a booming digital showroom for an expanded clothing and accessory line, and in August 2016, Skrillex and company opened the doors to their first brick-and-mortar pop-up shop in downtown Los Angeles. Now, the West Coast dance powerhouse is looking to make its mark out east with a new pop-up endeavor landing in New York City on Sunday February 26.
Hot off the heels of a special guest appearance at Daft Punk‘s pop-up in Los Angeles ahead of their Grammys performance, Skrillex is now bringing his nomadic boutique to New York City, and who knows, maybe a special guest appearance by the robots is in order? Unlikely, but in any case, Sonny likely has some special surprises up his sleeve for the occasion.
Similar to the label’s NYC venture in September of last year, the latest OWSLA pop-up will launch JOYRYDE‘s official merchandise line, RYDRWARE on the evening of February 26. The store will set up shop at American Beauty NYC from 12pm – 7pm and will be followed by an after party at 9pm at Slake featuring a secret lineup of OWSLA recruits.
