Airbnb rental gets transformed into a DIY nightclub
A good portion of Airbnb renters might step a bit outside the rules of their temporary residence while renting. However, on Wednesday night, Canonbury, London witnessed a whole level of rule-evading when a few creative party people transformed a one-bedroom flat into a full blown nightclub.
According to neighbors, the organizers of this renegade party not only sold tickets to the event and utilized a professional sound system and DJ, but they also hired a bouncer to man the door and grant entry exclusively to those who purchased a ticket. One upset resident compared the party to Fabric, while another stated that, “It was the worst night ever. I could hear the music louder than if I was playing it in my own living room.”
Roughly 200 people showed up to the event, spilling out into the streets. The Town Council had initially been called upon prior to midnight to stop the festivities, but the immense crowd size later forced the police to get involved. The festivities finally ended at roughly 4:30am.
