Black. compilation for charity gets third iteration

With Volume 2 of the compilation series black., Cadence and Cause helped to fund the brand new interactive music therapy program at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This time, the proceeds from the compilation will help the non-profit organization Give a Beat by providing DJ workshops to children. These workshops are designed to help with building self-confidence, finding a sense of individuality and empowerment, and healing from trauma.

Give a Beat is an organization that “serves as a catalyst for social change by bridging global electronic dance music culture with youth and families impacted by incarceration.” According to the Cadence and Cause website, the third volume of black. has already raised enough to provide four children with DJ workshops. At first glance this may not seem like much, but the project hopes to pick up steam with each $5 compilation.
