Bassnectar kickstarts 2017 with a fast-paced Buku remix

Bassnectar laid out his illustrious pipeline for 2017 in an extensive blog post in late February. Amid his performative and philanthropic plans, Lorin Ashton revealed that he has forthcoming releases on OWSLA, Monstercat, and Spinnin’ Records. The lattermost, a remix of Buku’s “Front To Back,” will be released on the Dutch imprint tomorrow, March 3. However, thanks to a premiere from Run The Trap, the track is now available in full a day ahead of its official release.

Bassnectar’s “Front To Back” remix marks his first release of the calendar year. For his take on, Ashton elects to revamp Buku’s original synthesis over an invigoratingly restructured format. The end result is an updated version of “Front To Back” that endows the track with Bassnectar’s signature “larger than life” qualities, while celebrating the core components of the original release.
