This week’s playlist features major collaborations between Yellow Claw, Quavo, and Tinie Tempah, as well as bro-step savants Zomboy and 12th Planet A number of high profile remixes also appear on this week’s edition from Bassnectar, Boys Noize, Mr. Carmack, and Djemba Djemba. Additionally, we’ve provided our top picks from within The DA Hot 25, highlighting two standout tracks.
The Heat of the Week: Boys Noize – Euphoria (Boys Noize & MXM Remix)
Perhaps the most riveting cut from Boys Noize’s self-remix album of Mayday is his collaborative revision of “Euphoria” with MXM, in which Ridha transfers Remy Banks’ vocals from minimalistic, cerebral original onto an utterly stupefying production backdrop. Equally clean and raucous, this take on “Euphoria” marks a fitting high point the artist’s festival and club sets alike.
The Breakout Select: JNTHN STEIN – Changes (Djemba Djemba Remix)
For his newest output, Mad Decent and Team Supreme affiliate Djemba Djemba has taken on remix duties for JNTHN STEIN, offering a spin on the titular track from the rising producer’s Changes EP. In remixing “Changes,” Djemba Djemba takes an upbeat, melodic approach, crafting a blithe house recording that will prove suitable for poolside parties and mellower festival sets in the months to come.
