Gorillaz announce first North American appearance in seven years

Gorillaz are driving full-force into the rollout of Humanz, their forthcoming fifth LP, which will be released April 28. As Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett trek closer to the debut of their virtual band’s 26-track album, news surrounding the cartoon quartet has taken the dance music world by storm.

Today, March 29, Gorillaz added another benchmark in their slew of recent announcements by confirming their first North American performance in seven years. The project will perform at Quebec’s summer festival, “Festival d’été de Québec,” on July 15 at 9:30 PM Eastern Time. The group appear alongside momentous contemporary acts including Flume and Muse, and legendary bands such as The Who and Metallica.
