Jauz – The Game (Original Mix)

It is always an interesting prospect to see an artist experiment with his or her core style. In his newest release, Jauz has taken up this trend by moving away from the dubstep and bass house sounds that helped him become a dance music mainstay. Over the last year, this refreshing change has culminated into a string of hit singles with the likes of marshmello and San Holo, as well as an acclaimed DnB remix of Porter Robinson’s “Language”.

The producer’s latest single, “The Game,” adds a beastly new dimension to Jauz’s formidable musical arsenal. The song progresses in the form of “levels,” with each one more intimidating than the last. “The Game” features a very prominent ping pong effect that Armin van Buuren would be proud of, as well as a buzzing bass which turns into a snarling monstrosity in the final stages of this raw and powerful track. The percussion work, as with every Jauz track, is flawless as is the euphoric bridge. “The Game” is a well made track, sure to set fire to dance floors across the globe.
