Axwell and Ingrosso’s two night stint in New York City ended on a newsworthy note last night with the debut of fellow Swede Alesso’s remix of The Chainsmokers and Coldplay’s latest hit. Chris Martin’s familiar top line is pulled from the original’s buzzing 103 BPM saws and placed a top a bevvy of orchestral strings and a more club friendly tempo. Alesso’s talent for crafting lush and heavily melodic progressive seems to be an even better fit for Martin’s vocals than The Chainsmokers own instrumental. Expect this one to be a show stopper at Ultra Music Festival next week.
