The Glitch Mob’s Ooah releases first track as Of Porcelain in four years [Exclusive]
Josh Mayer is a man of many talents and of many names. As Ooah, Mayer makes up one-third of The Glitch Mob (alongside ediT and Boreta) and one-half of PANTyRAiD (alongside Marty Party). In addition to his impressive résumé of group’s, Ooah boasts an alternate, subtler solo project: the long-dormant Of Porcelain. After four years of silence, Mayer has broken his estrangement from the Of Porcelain moniker with a new original production, “And Here I Am Free.”
Mayer debuted the song during his solo performance at Costa Rica’s Envision Festival earlier in March, marking the official relaunch of his prodigal project. “And Here I Am Free” is a slow, serene work that exudes a tranquil wistfulness. Fans of Mayer’s other projects will appreciate the lo-fi complexity of his Of Porcelain reboot, though this trait is manifested in a far softer form. Additionally, Of Porcelain’s return comes in advance of The Glitch Mob’s forthcoming 2017 album.
