Sewer gets turned into venue for rave in Newcastle

After bizarre reports of an AirBNB being turned into a makeshift nightclub surfaced in London last week, to go along with a DJ class being transformed into a massive party, it is safe to say England is at the leading edge of outside-the-box dance parties. The latest addition to this innovative series of events involved residents of Newcastle astonishingly turning the sewers under the river Ouseburn into a full-blown rave; complete with laughing gas and a lighting rig.

Over 200 university students willingly waded through sewage to get to the party held on Saturday, March 11. The party carried on into the early hours of Sunday, only to be shut down by local police at around 4am. The police accused the organizers of putting lives at risk; an investigation regarding the sewer party is currently underway.
