Sónar unveils 60 new acts, announces new ‘SonarXS’ stage

Barcelona’s coveted music and technology festival, Sónar, has added over 60 acts to its robust roster including Thundercat, DAWN, disco kingpin Cerrone and many more. A ninth stage, SonarXS, has also been revealed as the festival’s latest addition. SonarXS – which will debut at Sónar by Day – aims to highlight the evolution of the underground and trap, and will feature artists like Kiddy Smile, Total Freedom and DJ Florentino.

A slate of local electronic talent has also been revealed, including Dellafuente + Maka, Bad Gyal, Anímic, Aitor Etxebarria, Bejo and Playback Maracas.

Following Sónar Reykjavík’s fifth sold-out edition, the festival will continue on to Istanbul and Hong Kong in March and April, respectively, before finally making its way to Barcelona in June.
