Ableton announces dates for ‘Loop 2017’ workshop

Ableton has announced dates for Loop 2017, the three-day conference that aims at exploring the forefront of creative, innovative, music technology. The event will take place November 10-12 at East Berlin’s Funkhaus venue. The panel of speakers, performers, installations and workshops will be announced in July, but for those who are looking to attend, registration is now open.

The creators of the festival describe the experience as a collective enterprise for musicians and innovators alike:

“Loop is three days of discussions, performances, presentations, studio sessions, installations and interactive workshops aimed at exchanging ideas at the cutting edge of music, creativity, and technology. Bringing together artists, technologists, educators and other creative thinkers, Loop is a collective exploration of what it is to make music today and what it could be tomorrow.”

Last year’s edition featured the likes of Suzanne Ciani, Moritz Von Oswald and Lee “Scratch” Perry, in addition to a “broad range of educators and technologists exploring the links between creativity and technology.” RA Exchange also conducted an interview with Ableton CEO Gerhard Behles, provided below. Suffice it to say, Funkhaus will be the place to be this coming November for electronic musicians keen on innovating in the future.
