Dancing Astronaut presents AXIS 193: Mixed by Chris Lake

UK export Chris Lake has been a name ingrained in the house landscape for over a decade, and the seasoned beatsmith has consistently been at the forefront of the scene with his originals and remixes. Last month, he lead OWSLA’s house compilation, HOWSLA, with his thumping single, “I Want You,” that has been a recent favorite in a wide array of dance music radio shows.

With an expansive knowledge of the house landscape, it was necessary to have Chris Lake take over Dancing Astronaut‘s AXIS series to offer up his take on what is moving the scene’s needle. While Lake has dabbled in a wide variety of sub-genres, this mix tends to the darker, late-night listeners rather than the more commercially-inclined fans. Opening with Tiaki Nulight’s rumbling “Double Agent” and Zombie Disco Squad’s bustling “Bang,” the London producer crafts a menacing mix of dancefloor cuts meant for nightcrawlers.
