Firebeatz has kept fans anxiously awaiting the release of their coveted track, “Ignite.” The duo has been provoking crowds at shows and festivals, increasing anticipation by dropping frequent teasers and previews. Now, however, after an interminable-seeming wait, “Ignite” is now officially available — as a free download, no less. The song begins with muffled bass reverberating in the distance. As it progresses, the oscillating synths become clearer and build with ominous vocals until the drop, which counterposes a powerful melody crashing against a hefty drum kick.

Firebeatz is currently finishing work on their upcoming album and will debut the first radio-ready single off that LP on their own label, Ignite Recordings, this summer. Allegedly, the album is going to be like nothing we have yet heard from the duo, as the vibe shifts from their signature big room house sound to more melodic and downtempo moods. There have also been rumors circulating that Jaden Smith could make an appearance on the album, but knowing Firebeatz we might just be scratching the surface.
