Four Tet’s Coachella set will be over four hours long

Four Tet passed on a bit of sad news to fans on Twitter on April 11 when he advised the only festival he has booked this year is Coachella. That said, he’s certainly going to make it count.

When jokingly dared by a fan to play an all Kate Bush set, a reference to the booking controversy around the iconic singer from the week past, Four Tet stated: “My set is 4.5 hours… I should probably do it.”

Given the set’s length and his pending appearances at the Young Turks party surrounding it, at least those who do get to see him live will get to do so for a hearty chunk of time.

Furthermore, that his sparse show schedule this year is actually a good thing. After announcing the Coachella news, he also pointed out, “I’m deep in the new album,” reminding fans that in the near future their ears will be treated to what’s sure to be another dynamic and well-made body of work from the producer.
