Gorillaz release new collaboration ‘Let Me Out’ with Pusha T and Mavis Staples

While the hiatus from their last album was interminable, Gorillaz have been back in a big way since announcing their upcoming release Humanz. The simian band have returned to the stage, announced a string of North American appearances, and have launched “Spirit Houses” in cities across the globe. All this, of course, takes a back seat to the four tracks from Humanz the group has already released.

Today, that number grows to five, as the group have released “Let Me Out,” a collaborative effort with Pusha T and Mavis Staples. With such luminaries featured on this track, it shouldn’t be surprising that its production takes a backseat to the two vocalists’ contributions, creating a spacey feel over a hip hop track boasting the Gorillaz signature sound. With five high-quality releases so far, the hype surrounding Humanz April 28 release date will only continue to grow.
