Groundislava ft Jake Weary – Until Tomorrow (Shlohmo Remix)

Not one to stay in the shadows for too long, Los Angeles-based producer Shlohmo re-emerged recently to deliver a chilling remix of Wedidit labelmate Groundislava‘s “Until Tomorrow” featuring Jake Weary. The remix is Shlohmo’s latest release since he revealed earlier this year that he was currently working on his longly-awaited third LP, following his Dark Red album in 2015 and Bad Vibes in 2011.

This new piece is a seamless model of the multifaceted artist’s impenetrable taste in sound design. Approaching the original with a brooding, perceptive spin of his own making, the sonic master infuses shuddering guitar rhythms and modulated vocal samples to create a heavy texture that sinks deep into the soul.

Slowly building up momentum into a year filled with new musical offerings both from himself and his Wedidit collective family, Shlohmo remains consistent in firing out the more eclectic, hard-hitting releases in the scene.
