Muzzy drops anticipated ‘Spectrum’ EP
Nearly a year after his four-track F Minor Factory EP, drum & bass producer Muzzy returns with a new EP on Monstercat: Spectrum.
Three of the EP’s four tracks were released gradually on Monstercat in April, with BBC Radio 1 handling the initial premiere of “Break Away” in late March.
Releases on Monstercat began with with the EP’s namesake, “Spectrum,” on April 4, and “Lost Forever” followed with a release on April 11. Listeners finally got a glimpse of the EP’s last track, “Outsiders,” on April 16, a day before the official EP release.
Spectrum is a true cinematic-like journey through time and space. Each track features Muzzy’s signature style of gracefully building a track and then dropping it straight into furious drum & bass energy. Muzzy brings on fellow UK drum & bass producers Priority One for “Break Away” and UK vocalist Charlotte Haining for “Outsiders.” These collaborations give the EP a little extra kick, rounding it out in the perfect manner.
