Orjan Nilsen – Tradekraft

Trance viking Orjan Nilsen has been one of the mainstays of Armin’s ASOT label ever since his debut as DJ Governor in 2006. The veteran producer is mostly known for his pleasant melodic trance style which helped him win the “Best Breakthrough DJ” at the 2012 IDMA awards.

The seasoned Norwegian is also adept at pumping out hardcore, fist-pumping tech trance. Nilsen’s latest musical endeavor, “Tradekraft,” is a diversion from his regular style, leaning towards a peculiar fusion of tech trance and big room. Gone are the producer’s smooth 138-BPM drum samples and euphoric chord progressions of yore, which have been replaced by a grimy bass line and big room synths with a much more festival oriented sound. “Tradekraft” is an interesting addition Orjan’s production arsenal.
