Images reveal Coachella’s intriguing new ‘Antarctic’ stage for 2017
Photos emerged last night revealing the building of intriguing infrastructure is underway in the Indio Valley of California. With Coachella‘s first weekend on the horizon, attendees are anxious for any news or updates regarding the festival.
Here’s what we know so far about the Antarctic stage setup:
- It’s spherical. Yes, you got that right. Think back to elementary school and the old metal jungle gyms for a perfect analogy.
- It’s completely enclosed. Panels will be added to the walls enclosing the structure to create an unparalleled experience inside.
This stage promises to be a full audio-visual sensory experience. The stage will house a massive projection of space and time on the walls, taking attendees on a space ship ride through the universe. Designed by Obscura Digital and powered by HP, the dome is unlike any other and promises to be open day and night. With its debut looming, this design is also exclusive to Coachella.
