Premiere: Cristoph joins Sasha’s Last Night on Earth with ‘Eleven’
Cristoph simply can’t be stopped. The burgeoning UK artist has cemented his name as one of the most exciting house and techno producers of the moment with a track record to back it up. Already one of the foremost talents on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound label, Cristoph now joins Sasha’s esteemed Last Night on Earth imprint with a brand new Eleven EP.
Eleven brings three cosmic-inspired originals from Cristoph, including the title track, which Dancing Astronaut has the honor of premiering. “Eleven” is a masterfully composed progressive piece with swelling pads and a hypnotic groove. The sound design is distinctly ethereal, with larger-than-life harmonic progressions teasing at a certain otherworldliness. It’s no surprise that Cristoph cites Netflix’s popular sci-fi series Stranger Things as one of the chief influences on the new EP.
“After being a huge fan of Sasha for many years I am delighted for my next EP to be on his own imprint Last Night On Earth,” Cristoph says. “The records are heavily influenced through watching the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ and I’m buzzing to have the support from one of my heroes on this one.”
Cristoph’s new Eleven EP is due out on Last Night on Earth on April 21.
