Pretty Lights reveals dates for offshore winter event, ‘Island of Lights’

Derek Vincent Smith, better known under his Pretty Lights moniker, has established a reputation for creating fully immersive live music experiences. Following his wildly successful Episodic Tour series in 2016, Pretty Lights will hold his “Season Two Premiere” concert at The Gorge in George, Washington, featuring support from Atmosphere, Tipper, and STS9. Now, the Colorado-based producer has revealed further live plans for the coming winter following.

Yesterday, April 18, Smith teased a brand new, first-event-of-its-kind, dubbed “Island of Light,” a 4-day long tropical winter festival to be held December 7-10. The show will be presented by Suwannee Hulaween and North Coast Music Fest producers Silver Wrapper. Details on the event have been cryptic up to this point, with no information yet available regarding ticket sales or lineup support. However, some rumors suggest Puerto Rico as the place to be for those who plan to chase the multi-city episodic adventure in 2017.
