Ultra Worldwide announces expansion to Australia, China, Ibiza and India

Ultra Worldwide has just officially announced their expansion to Australia, China, India, along with a Resistance residency at Privilege in Ibiza. What started as a one-day in event in 1999 in Miami, Florida, has evolved into an international franchise with sold out festivals now happening on six continents. With the announcement, Ultra will host events across 23 countries, making the festival’s presence one of – if not the — largest in the world. The brand will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of its flagship Miami event in 2018, as their vision to feature the most influential artists on stages across the world has now become a reality.

“Choosing to follow a unique and creative vision and a wholly organic growth focused on its true love for music, artists and fans alike, the ULTRA and ULTRA Worldwide™ brands represent not only the world’s biggest and most successful remaining INDEPENDENT electronic music festival brand, but also the most international festival brand in the world. Event organizers continue to transport the unrivaled experience from the Miami flagship festival to an ever-growing number of destinations and Ultranauts all over the globe.”

Last year, tickets for Miami officially went on sale October 4, 2016, and general admission tickets sold just months later. Featured artists for this year’s show included Kygo, Steve Aoki, Sam Feldt, Armin Van Buuren, Boombox Cartel, Rezz, and scores more. Ultra Music Festival has established itself as the premier location to debut unreleased tracks and IDs as numerous DJs take a stab at exciting the crowd with their latest creations in preparation for the summer festival season. In 2018, artists will have even more opportunity to showcase their musical abilities in front of hundreds of thousands of attendees in exotic environments. Tickets for various locations are currently on sale, however with Ultra’s exploding popularity there is no doubt that these events have the potential to sell out.
