Carl Cox and Martin Garrix’s documentary, ‘What We Started,’ has a premiere date

With unprecedented access to a self-driven industry, Director Bert Marcus chronicles the explosive rise of electronic dance music which extends from its underground inception in the late 1980s, to its current standing as a mainstream phenomena.

At the center of What We Started are the journeys of past and present told through the eyes of Carl Cox and Martin Garrix. These dichotomous tales stand as part of a much larger narrative, that poses questions concerning the future of electronic dance music.

What We Started will be making its world premiere at the LA Film Festival on Thursday June 15.
