Chance the Rapper enlists Kaytranada to produce enthralling single ‘They Say’
Kaytranada is no stranger to celebrity collaborations. The young Canadian’s debut LP was pumped with high-profile appearances ranging from Vic Mensa to Little Dragon. Since then, the producer has paired with a multitude of other recording artists like Alicia Keys and Katy B to make unforgettable tracks which appeal to a broad range of listeners.
After first joining forces with Chance the Rapper for their 2016 single, “All Night,” the two have found themselves working together once more for “They Say.” The chemistry in the partnership is palpable, with Kaytranada fashioning a luxuriously smooth background to Chance’s flowing verses which features a prominent bass-line paired with hints of jazzy saxophone. The finished product is catchy as ever, primed to get stuck in the heads of anyone listening.
“They Say” was debuted during Kaytranada’s stop on Pharrell’s Beats 1 radio show on May 14. The aforementioned talents also toyed around with the idea of collaborating with one another to create a collaborative album with heavy influence from Kaytranada’s Haitian roots.
