Chromeo share new remix of Lorde’s ‘Green Light’

Chromeo has emerged with the release of their official take on Lorde‘s “Green Light.” The new remix marks the duo’s first release since 2014’s critically lauded White Women. The group’s rendition of “Green Light” is a jazzed up electro-funk take on the original piece with layers of guitar chords and Daft Punk-reminiscent distorted vocals. Lorde’s “Green Light” has amassed over 123 million plays on Spotify alone and has been remixed by a number of artists, including Hotel Garuda and VITIZE.

The duo is currently touring, with scheduled stops at Red Rocks, West Hollywood Park, and Karoondinha Music & Arts Festival. Although Chromeo remixes nowadays are few and far between, the pair’s returning effort on “Green Light” a long production hiatus, which could perhaps lead to additional releases in the near future. With their latest, Chromeo showcase another dimension of their artistry, with an aced remix that will be on repeat all summer.
