This week’s playlist features stellar chilled-out gems by Nick Murphy & Kaytranada, Lane 8, and Calvin Harris; powerful new singles from Krewella, Ghastly, and Slow Magic; and bouncing house cuts from Kaskade, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, and Throttle.
Additionally, we’ve provided our top picks from within The DA Hot 25, highlighting two standout tracks.
The Heat of the Week: Nick Murphy – Your Time (prod.KAYTRANADA)
Shedding his Chet Faker moniker for good, Nick Murphy dives head first into his project with a 5-track EP, including the lead single, “Your Time,” produced by KAYTRANADA. As the Canadian beat-smith paints a brooding instrumental built on vocal distortion, sharp percussion, and undulating synths, Murphy focuses on letting his vocals take the spotlight and they certainly do not disappoint.
The Breakout Select: Lane 8 – Little Voices
In the space of ethereal progressive house, Lane 8 may be at the front of the pack. His new single, “Little Voices,” is a graceful marvel that is exactly what fans will want in a new Lane 8 track.
