The past week saw head-turning remixes from Chromeo, Gorgon City, and Dixon; major crossover singles from Martin Garrix, Axwell Ingrosso, and Matoma; and breakout singles from newcomers Emmitt Fenn, Xan Griffin, and Lipless.
Additionally, we’ve provided our top picks from within The DA Hot 25, highlighting two standout tracks.
The Heat of the Week: Lorde – Green Light (Chromeo Remix)
Chromeo’s presence has been rather limited in the past year, however, the funk champions have returned to the spotlight with a groove-drenched remix of Lorde’s “Green Light.” Applying their undefeated formula of robust bass guitar and wavy guitar lines, Chromeo stick to the sound that fans love them for while allowing Lorde’s vocals to still drive the track.
The Breakout Select: Dillon Francis & G-Eazy – Say Less (Gorgon City Remix)
If there’s any house group that almost never misses in their remixes, it’s Gorgon City. Taking on Dillon Francis and G-Eazy’s heavy anthem, “Say Less,” the UK duo trade blaring trap horns for rumbling house basslines and infectious drum samples to create the ultimate summer club heater.
