The Meadows drops lineup with Jay Z, Gorillaz, Bassnectar and more
New York City’s latest festival event, The Meadows Music and Arts Festival, officially returns for its second edition this fall. Coming to Queens across an extended three-day run from September 15 – 17, The Meadows has rolled out an impressive talent roster for 2017, topping this year’s lineup with Jay Z, Gorillaz, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
HOV’s festival bookings come extremely few and far between, and paired with the headline announcement, Meadows has also revealed that the mogul’s streaming platform TIDAL will be assuming exclusive streaming rights for the event. Top billings for this year’s iteration include hip-hop legends such as Nas, Erykah Badu, and LL Cool J, matched with other rap notables such as Run The Jewels, Future, and Migos.
Dance music also comes well represented on this year’s Meadows lineup. Bassnectar grabbed a top slot, with A-Trak, GTA, Lido and Big Gigantic also featured among 50+ acts slated for the weekend. From Weezer and Foster The People to Ghostface Killah, De La Soul and Blood Orange, The Meadows is promising one of the most eclectic, star-powered festival events of the summer.
