Sébastien Léger – La Danse Du Scorpion (Original Mix)
Sensual cello and mystical progressive are an exceptional pairing, especially when put together by French veteran Sébastien Léger. “La Danse Du Scorpion” samples cellist Adam Hurst’s piece “Seduction,” placing its chilling melody into a bed of deep bass-lines and crisp arpeggiated synths. The finished product absolutely destroys the dance-floor, refusing to loosen its grasp on the listener as it drives them on a well-navigated course of dark, brooding, and mystical soundscapes.
Léger has been pumping out a consistent slew of quality work as of late, including releases on Nick Warren’s imprint Hope Recordings, Systematic, Sudbeat, and more. “La Danse Du Scorpion” is part of his newest EP, I Need You More, released on Einmusika – a label he’s frequented quite a bit over the past couple years.
