5 artists not to miss at Ever After Music Festival

Bringing in bass-heads from all across the nation, Ever After Music Festival has compiled a line-up of very headbanger’s dreams. Spanning across a three-day period from June 2-4, the festival has returned for its third year in Kitchener, Ontario. After carefully curating their 2017 lineup to reflect the popular bass-music trend sweeping across the nation, major headliners Bassnectar, Excision, and Zeds Dead will close out the main stage each night.

Zeds Dead

Proudly hailing from Canada’s electronic music hotspot, Toronto-natives Zeds Dead will be closing out the Ever After festival on Sunday night. Known for their imprint Deadbeats label, members DC and Hooks have shown extraordinary strides in musical production, demonstrating their talent in a wide variety of sub-genres from drum and bass, to dubstep.

Ghastly

Taking on the title of “the ghost with the most”, twenty-seven year old Ghastly will be playing at Ever After Music Festival. With the recent debut of his new collaboration “We Might Fall”, with popular vocalist Matthew Koma, Ghastly has plowed through this year with non-stop shows, ending off his intense touring schedule with a performance at Creamfields at the end of August.

Troyboi

Born and raised from the UK, trap DJ Troyboi will be throwing down on the second-day of the bass festival. Famous for his collaborative moshpit anthem “Soundclash” with trap-duo Flosstradamus, Troyboi has gained popularity with the rise of trap music. After tweets between himself and REZZ have hinted at a project in the works, fans are bound to see a new style emerge.

Habstrakt

Working alongside dubstep fan-favorite Skrillex for their addition to the HOWSLA EP, the “Chicken Soup” co-producer will be performing at Ever After on the Saturday. Habstrakt has proved his versatility in producing songs throughout the bass spectrum; from bass-house, to riddim and future-bass, Habstrakt is a set not to be missed. On the lineup with friends and previous track collaborators Eptic and MUST DIE!, Habstrakt is bound to be making appearances during a few sets.

Snails

Bringing together first-time bass listeners and his Vomit Squad alike, Snails will be second to close out the Oculus Realm stage at Ever After. Working with a variety of producers that take over the bass scene like Flux Pavilion, to instrumental livetronica duo Big Gigantic, Snails has worked non-stop to purvey a sound unlike any other. Hosting his own stage at Escapade Music Festival for the first time this summer, the Montreal-based producer is sure to host a memorable set at Ever After Music Festival.
